All rights reserved. The Bible Talks about KNOWING THE BIBLE. GOD EXPECT US TO KNOW THE BIBLE WELL. DEUTERONOMY 17:19. Read it daily. DEUTERONOMY 1 1:18. Lay it up in your heart and in your soul. ACTS 17:1 1. Search it daily. (God expects us to learn what He is telling us.) WHY MUST WE KNOW THE BIBLE WELL? 1. (We must be able to give a good answer when our faith is questioned.) I PETER 3.-15. "...set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope (expectations) that you have." 2. (We must avoid wrong teachings. But how can we know what is wrong unless we first know what is right?) ROMANS 16:17 "Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them." HEBREWS13:9 "Do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established by grace, not with foods which have not profited those who have been occupied with them." WE ARE TO KEEP LEARNING UNTIL WE ARE WELL LEARNED. ACTS 2:42 "And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers". HEBREWS 6:1 "Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection,...." WHAT WILL BE THE RESULT OF KNOWING THE BIBLE WELL? EPHESIANS4:14 "....that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness by which they lie in wait to deceive,..." HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW THE BIBLE? Do you know the Bible well enough to: 1. Have a belief and defend your belief? 2. Give the Good News of salvation to someone? 3. Can you make a sound BIBLICAL choice between: a).Baptize infants - Baptize adults only? b).There will be a 1000 years of peace - There will not be a 1000 years of peace? c).Salvation is guaranteed to the believer - Salvation can be lost? d).God has forsaken Israel - God has not forsaken Israel? And other questions that cause debate? DO YOU KNOW BIBLE PASSAGES THAT WILL GIVE YOU INSPIRATION AND COMFORT IN TIME OF NEED?
