The Bible Talks about STEWARDSHIP.


("Stewardship" refers to the management of another person's goods.  This is
done by a steward, manager, who takes care of the other person's property
and at some time must report to the owner as to how well he, the steward,
took care of the goods put into his or her trust.

Each one of us is a steward  or stewardess of what God has loaned to us to
use, which is everything we have.  This includes the stewardship of our
body, mind, time, abilities, possessions and the word of God, the Bible.)


EVERYTHING IS THE LORD'S.  THE LORD OWNS IT ALL.
PSALM 24:1  "The earth is the Lord's, and all its fullness, The world and
those who dwell therein."
ACTS 7:50  "Has My hand not made all these things?'


A GOOD AND FAITHFUL STEWARD RECEIVES REWARDS WHILE UNFAITHFUL STEWARDS WILL
BE PUNISHED.
(Faithful stewards are those who do all that is necessary to take care of
God's properties.)

WE LEARN FROM PARABLES:
MATTHEW 25:21   "His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful
servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over
many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'"
LUKE 12:42-44.   "And the Lord said, "Who then is that faithful and wise
steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them
their portion of food in due season?    Truly, I say to you that he will
make him ruler over all that he has."

WE HAVE FREE-WILL, THE ABILITY TO MAKE OUR OWN CHOICES AND DECISIONS.  WE
CAN TAKE CARE OF GOD'S POSSESSIONS PROPERLY AND LOVINGLY OR WE CAN:

1).  Squander.  Use God's gifts and possessions wastefully.
2).  Hoard.  Store, hide or keep back in reserve.  Keep from others.
3).  Misuse.  Not use God's gifts the way He wants us to use them.


AS STEWARDS WE WILL SOME DAY HAVE TO REPORT TO GOD WHAT WE DID WITH WHAT WE
WERE GIVEN.
MATTHEW 25:19   "After a long time the lord of those servants came and
settled accounts with them".
LUKE 19:15  "And so it was that when he returned, having received the
kingdom, he then commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money,
to be called to him, that he might know how much every man had gained by
trading."
ROMANS 14:12  "So then each of us shall give account of himself to God."


BECOME AWARE THAT WE ARE TAKING CARE OF WHAT BELONGS TO GOD.
