MATTHEW 28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,..." JOHN 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." 1 TIMOTHY 2:4 "....who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." FOR A PERSON TO BE SAVED, A PERSON MUST FIRST HEAR THE GOSPEL (The Good News). ROMANS 10:14 "How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?" GOD WANTS HIS MESSAGE TO BE ANNOUNCED TO EVERYONE IN THE WORLD. MARK 16:15 "....And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." LUKE 9:60 " Jesus said to him, "Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the kingdom of God." ACTS 8:4 "Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word." THE GOSPEL IS FOR THE JEW FIRST. ROMANS 1:16 "...For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek." JESUS SET MANY EXAMPLES OF TEACHING AND PREACHING. (To "preach" is to proclaim, announce, declare or publicize the Gospel message). MATTHEW 13:54. Jesus taught in synagogues in His hometown. LUKE 4:31. Jesus taught in Capernum. MATTHEW !!:1. He instructed His disciples, then taught in towns of Galilee. THE DISCIPLES ALSO SET EXAMPLES OF TEACHING AND PREACHING. ACTS 5:21. Taught in temple courts. ACTS 5:42. Taught in temple courts and from house to house. ACTS 15:25. Paul and Barnabas taught in Antioch. THE WORK OF ANNOUNCING AND PUBLICIZING THE GOOD NEWS MUST CONTINUE TODAY. MARK 13:10 "And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations." (Even today, not everyone has heard the Gospel). GOD NEEDS YOU, ME, AND MANY OTHERS TO DO THIS WORK. LUKE 10:2 "Then He said to them, "The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest." WE ARE TO TEACH OTHERS SO THAT THEY IN TURN MAY TEACH OTHERS. 2 TIMOTHY 2:2 "And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." HEBREWS 5:12 "For though by this time you ought to be teachers,...." WHAT ARE WE TO TEACH, ANNOUNCE AND PUBLICIZE? (First teach the Good News that Christ came to save you, me and others from the penalty of being sinners and how we can accept the free gift of salvation. (Review BT#2) Then teach whatever else the listeners have a need for). MATTHEW 10:7 "And as you go, preach, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand." MARK 6:12 "So they went out and preached that people should repent." ACTS 9:20 "Immediately he (Paul) preached the Christ in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God." TITUS 2:1 "But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine:" GOD'S WORD WILL NOT RETURN EMPTY. ISAIAH 55:11 "So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it."
